Theater Rental

Host an event at the Grand Illusion Cinema! This historic jewel box cinema seats 70, has 16mm, 35mm and video projection capabilities and 5.1 surround sound. The Grand Illusion Cinema is an excellent and affordable venue for screening your own film, private events, birthday parties, discussion groups, business meetings, etc.

The Grand Illusion Cinema is generally available daytimes Monday thru Friday. Weekend availability depends on our regular film schedule, but most afternoons are available. Rentals scheduled in advance of film bookings can take precedence on weekdays only.

For most rentals, we screen from standard DVD and Blu-ray. Standard DVD will be upscaled to HD by our state-of-the-art Blu-ray player. It is also possible to hook a laptop up to our video projector via VGA or DVI.

Billing is for all time the space is needed including film buildup & equipment setup and breakdown of same. We accept credit/debit payments in advance via credit/debit and on the day of the rental in cash or check.

Room Rental Rate with video projection	$55/hr. for members or non-profit organisations $95/hr. for non-members or commercial use
Room Rental Rate 35mm or 16mm projection	$85/hr. for members or non-profit organisations $155/hr. for non-members or commercial use
Minimum Rental Time	2 hours. Usually in a 7pm or 9pm time slot on a weeknight. Time frame must allow us to keep one regular show.
Concessions	sodas and candy can be made available at our regular prices
Popcorn	$20 member or non-profit $35 non-member or commercial
Four-Walling	If your film is on DVD or Blu-ray, you can four-wall it at the Grand Illusion very affordably. Renter assumes all responsibility for promotions of the film.
